Don’t Quit

So many people ask me about how to train to get into specific areas of the military.

This is both complex and simple at the same time. On one hand, yes, you need to hone a specific set of skills. You need to be physically and mentally tough.

You should be able to run, jump, swim, shoot and lift at an elite level. All of those things can be trained. You just need to put in the WORK. If you’re serious about “making it” you need to double down and strengthen your areas of weakness.

The thing you have to have above all else is the mentality. You have to have the “don’t quit” attitude. Who are you doing this for? Answer that for yourself.

I always repeated a phrase to myself, a phrase someone gave to me that helped me get through.

“There is nothing that I cannot do today”

That is the simple part. If you keep this mentality, that nothing can break you, then you will always give 100%. Truth be told, you may not make it even with this attitude, but at least you know it wasn’t because you quit.
